Tour Eagles Hunting in Almaty region

Eagle Hunting is a traditional form of hunting found in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. The Kazakh people, who led a nomadic lifestyle, were in harmony with nature. Nomads considered nature an integral part of their lives and understood well that the deeper they learn the secrets of nature, the more meaningful and interesting life becomes. Knowledge and experience of communicating with nature is not only the basis of existence, but also a way to spend time in a meaningful and fun way. One of them is associated with hunting with tamed birds eagles and falcons and Kazakh greyhounds for various kinds of game such as hare, fox, small deer. There were cases that hunters went hunting for several people, each had a war eagle for hunting and they hunted wolves in a pack, one eagle cannot cope with a wolf, but when there are several eagles, they can defeat one wolf. The great masters of this art are widely revered among the Kazakh people.

From time immemorial, the Kazakh people, being close to nature, studied the habits of animals and birds. Thanks to their knowledge and experience, Kazakh hunters were able to tame animals for hunting, such as eagles, falcons and Kazakh greyhounds (dogs). The experience of training eagles and falcons has lasted for centuries - it is both an art and a deep skill. According to historical data, the art of hunting with birds appeared three thousand years ago. In Kazakhstan, competitions are held every year among families who still keep eagles, falcons, work with them, and hunt. This is a very spectacular event, a lot of people gather at it and everyone watches the hunting of eagles for game.
