The reserve Aksu-Zhabagly is a state reserve. Located on the western side of the Talas Alatau range in the Western Tien Shan. The territory of the Aksu-Dzhabagly reserve is located at an altitude of 1300 to 4200 m above sea level, the total area of the reserve is 74.4 thousand hectares. The name of the reserve was given from the names of two rivers (Aksu and Zhabagly). The reserve covers an area of 740 square meters. km

The fauna of the reserve is unique; it includes species typical of completely different regions. Mammals in the territory of the reserve Aksu-Jabagly counted42 species, these are predatory and unary-animal animals: argali, Tien Shan brown bear, snow leopard, Siberian mountain goat. About 123 species of birds nest from the general list on the territory of the Aksu-Dzhabagly reserve, and 38 species never leave its territory. Entry fee is a minor 7 a day for foreign citizens and 1.2 for Kazakhstan citizens.
