The bust monument to Sankibai batyr is a monument of monumental art, installed in Aktobe in 2014 in memory of the Kazakh warrior Sankibai. The monument is a bust of a batyr mounted on a square-shaped stone pedestal. Sankibai batyr is depicted in Kazakh battle armor. The height of the bust is 2.7 meters, the total height of the monument is 6.4 meters. The author of the monument, sculptor Zhenis Zhubankosov.

Information

Sankibai batyr was born in 1687, an associate of Abilkair Khan, a politician, a prophet, fought for the unity and well–being of the Kazakh people and the security of the Kazakh steppe. Sankibai lived a long life, died at the age of 117. Some researchers claim that bytar could not have lived that long. Such a natural landmark in the Aktobe region as "Akbota-Sankibai Hill" is associated with the name of Sankibai. According to legend, Sankibai's daughter was buried here, who died when enemies attacked his camp in the steppe. According to other sources, she died in battle when she gathered her tribe to confront the Kalmyks' enemies during Sankibai's absence. Today, Akbota-Sankibai hill is known among geologists all over the world as the "Chess Princess".
