Baiken mosque in Almaty city very beautiful. The opening of the “Baiken” mosque, which is located on the site of the casino operating for many years at the intersection of Rozybakiyev and Dzhandosov streets, took place on December 5, 2014, on a holy day for Muslims - blessed Juma.
The mosque, built on the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan - Nursultan Nazarbayev, was named after a prominent statesman - Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR - Baiken Ashimov.
The building of the mosque has 6 floors, its area is more than 6000 square meters. Two underground floors are given for parking. In addition, on the lower floor of the mosque is darethana. The rest of the mosque has a classic zoning: the central part is occupied by the main hall for prayers, in the upper part of the mosque is the women's hall. Mosque "Baiken" has no courtyard, as is customary in most of the mosques of Central Asia. At the same time, you can actually enter the mosque from all sides. For each entrance there is a separate dressing room and wardrobes for shoes.
Mosque "Baiken" can accommodate about 3,000 worshipers at a time. Today, this mosque, perhaps, is light itself, both in the number of lighting devices and in the number of stained-glass windows in the city. The acoustic equipment of the mosque is no less well thought out and designed on modern sound equipment. The building of the mosque has a traditional golden dome and four minarets.
The mosque is open every day from 6 am to 9 pm
