Eagle's Nest is the name of a place in the mountains, a natural landmark, located at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level in the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau. The place is very popular among lovers of active recreation and hiking in the mountains, as it is located on the famous mountain route that runs along the picturesque Gorelnik gorge, where the Gorelnik waterfalls are located. Next to the "Eagle's Nest" is one of these waterfalls. The hike to the place begins from the hot water spring Gorelnik, which is located at the beginning of the gorge. You can get to this place from the Small Almaty gorge from the Medeo tract, where the famous Medeo mountain sports complex is located. From here, taxis and buses go to the beginning of the Gorelnik gorge.
If you climb to the upper reaches of the Gorelnik gorge, you can reach the high-mountain moraine lake Titov, from here through the Titov pass you can go to the Small Almaty gorge or climb Titov peak. Also along this route through the pass you can climb to the Pamyat peak and walk along the mountain ridge to the Mynzhilky peak, then to the Medic peak, Mount Pribornaya and Mount Chasovaya.
