Tour to the Dolantau Tiger Mountains from Almaty -
The Tiger Mountains are the local name for the mountains located near the village of Koktal. The mountains are also called Dolantau and have a striking tiger-striped coloring. The mountains stretch 17 kilometers from southwest to northeast. The Borokhudzir River and the Zharkent Arasan Sanatorium are also located here.

The mountains are small hills with a maximum elevation of 1,800 meters above sea level. These unusual and beautiful mountains are a local landmark and a tourist destination. The Ortatau Mountains are also located in this area and represent an extension of the Tiger Mountains. The rock deposits in this area are 60-70 million years old.
