One-day trip to Gorelnik Gorge -

Mountain hike along the Gorelnik River after the Small Almaty Gorge -

Gorelnik - mountain waterfalls, a place for active recreation, a natural landmark in the mountains near the city of Almaty, belongs to the Gorelnik mountain gorge (Kuigensay), which adjoins the Small Almaty Gorge. A mountain route along the Gorelnik River leads to the waterfall. The first small waterfall, 5 meters high, is located at the beginning of the gorge at an altitude of 2054 meters above sea level, the second large waterfall, 20 meters high, is located at an altitude of 2458 meters above sea level and is located in the upper reaches of the gorge. The path to the waterfalls begins from the Gorelnik thermal water source, between the Medeo sports complex and the Shymbulak high-mountain base.

Further up the Gorelnik gorge you can reach the Eagle's Nest and then you can go to Mount Chasovaya (3216) and Mount Pribornaya (3347). If you move along the gorge from the waterfalls higher up in the mountains, we will see the famous high-mountain lake Titov (3467) and Titov peak (3827). This area is full of various mountain trails and routes in the mountains of the Zailiyskiy Alatau in the Ile-Alatau Park. When hiking in the mountains, be sure to use the services of certified mountain guides who will prepare you for the mountain hike and safely lead you along the route.

The Gorelnik waterfalls are located 30 kilometers from the city of Almaty in the Gorelnik mountain gorge, between the Medeo skating rink and the Shymbulak ski resort, Medeu district, Almaty region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
