Turkestan tulip (Tulipa sylvestris turkestanica)-for the first time the tulip was described by the famous researcher botanist E.L. Regel in 1873, then this species was made a separate independent species. This type of tulip blooms in March, April, May, in spring. It grows in most of Kazakhstan in the foothills and on flat terrain. An incredibly beautiful flower, the inflorescence looks like a Regel tulip.

How to see where to find -

Turkestan tulip can be found in the South Kazakhstan and Zhambyl regions of Kazakhstan. It grows in the Karatau Mountains and in the mountains of the Western Tien Shan, as well as the Aksu Zhabagly Reserve. Blooms from the end of March to the end of June, bears fruit in June - July.

Medicinal properties -

The bulb of the Turkestan tulip is used in folk medicine as an analgesic for rheumatism. If you want to observe the flowering of the Turkestan tulip, then it is best to do it in the Aksu Zhabagly Nature Reserve and Nature Park. Highly ornamental species, used for group plantings in rock gardens, is valued because of early flowering, stability in culture and intensive vegetative reproduction.
