Lake Karasai, a moraine alpine lake, next to the lake 800 meters to the northeast, in the crest of the Dzungarian Alatau ridge, there is an unnamed peak with a height of 3835.6 meters above sea level. 900 meters to the west of Lake Karasai there is a small glacier with an area of 348999 square meters. The perimeter of the glacier is 2387 meters. The glacier is located in an intermediate basin between the western, northern and southern slopes of the Dzungarian Alatau ridge. 1.1 kilometers to the southwest is the moraine, flowing lake Nizhny Karasai, located at an altitude of 3277 meters above sea level. Lake Nizhny Karasai has an area of 13151 square meters, a perimeter of 530 meters. The length of the lake from the southeast to the northwest is 195 meters, the width in the northern part of the lake is 110 meters. From the north, the Vostochny Karasai River flows into the lake with a wide delta up to 40 meters.
