The history of the Great Patriotic War in Aktobe and Aktobe region

Aktobe Regional Memorial Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova – collects documentary materials about the Great Patriotic War of heroes from the city of Aktobe who participated in military operations during the war. The museum is also a place where military-patriotic education of the younger generation is carried out. The museum was opened on April 22, 1985, to mark the 60th anniversary of the Soviet Union's Victory over Nazi Germany. About 30,000 people visit the museum annually, and the number of archives exceeds 7,000 copies. Here is a letter from the Chairman of the Central Committee of the USSR M. Shvernik to Aliya's father, Sarkul Nurmaganbetov. Reports on the work of the 7th grade of Vyatka secondary School in the Pskov region, where Aliya studied, her certificate of Hero of the Soviet Union. Here you can see a painting painted by the artist V.V. Shchukin, which depicts the scene of the battlefield where Aliya bravely died, weapons brought from the front, more than ten books about Aliya's bravery, copies of letters written to her. The archives of the museum are replenished from year to year, a search group of enthusiasts, led by local historian and school teacher S. A. Sysoenko, in the summer months, travels to the Novgorod, Pskov, and Kaluga regions and brings back valuables found on the battlefield.
