Photo tour to the Red Mountains (Boguty) from Almaty -
Jeep tour of the Charyn National Park in Kazakhstan -
The Boguty Mountains (Buguty) are a real find for those who are looking for silence, space and unusual landscapes. They are located in the south-eastern part of Kazakhstan, in the Almaty region, not far from the border with China. These mountains are considered to be spurs of the Zailiysky Alatau (Trans Ili-Alatau), but in mood and appearance they are completely different - there are no glaciers and alpine meadows, but there are hot slopes, bright colors and a feeling of complete solitude. Most often, people call this place the Red Mountains - and for good reason. The slopes of the Buguty Mountains resemble a Martian landscape: shades of ocher, terracotta, brick red and sandy colors literally flood everything around here. It is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset, when the sunlight makes these colors even deeper. In some places, the soil crumbles under your feet, as if you are walking on a fragile ceramic world. Sometimes you come across stone remnants that resemble petrified animals frozen in eternity. The mountain range is located on the territory of the Charyn National Park and is one of its natural attractions. People come here to take beautiful photos and videos at sunset or sunrise. Therefore, when you go here, be sure to stay overnight to see the sunset and sunrise, this time is especially magical and beautiful in these places.

Information -
The Boguty Mountains amaze with their pristine beauty - their bizarre rocks, carved by wind and time, resemble gigantic fortress towers or giants frozen in stone. The nature in the Buguty Mountains is harsh. Vegetation is sparse: wormwood, tumbleweed, rare bushes. The animal world is also hiding - sometimes you can meet lizards, rodents, birds of prey. This is a land of open horizons, dry air, high temperatures in summer and strong winds. But it is this desert silence that makes the Boguty Mountains special. These ancient giants, whose age is more than 300 million years, preserve the memory of the times when hordes of nomads rushed across these lands and strings of silk caravans stretched. There is also an interesting historical component: traces of ancient man and Bronze Age sites were found in the mountain area. It is believed that nomads, hunters, and possibly ancient trade routes passed through these lands. The route here is picturesque in itself. It is especially interesting to come here with a tent to stay overnight and meet the dawn in the silence among the red rocks. This is not a tourist place in the usual sense. There are no cafes, signs, or crowds of tourists. And this is its main strength.
The Boguty Mountains are a place where you can feel the space. Where nothing prevents you from being yourself. Where the wind and the sun become your fellow travelers. And where you remember how simple and real beauty and freedom can be. Here, under the endless steppe sky, you understand that time is a relative concept, and true beauty is eternal.
