Information -

Kokkol Waterfall is very popular among guests of the Katon-Karagay Nature Reserve. The waterfall is part of the Altai Mountains and Kazakhstan Altai. A mountain trail leads to the waterfall, along which you can get to the waterfall. This region is intended for ecological tourism and its development. Here they usually stay for several days and make radial mountain hikes to local attractions. We recommend moving around the Katon-Karagay Nature Reserve in the presence of guides who know the area well and teams in 4x4 all-terrain vehicles with all the necessary equipment to set up a base camp and live in it during the trip. To stay in the Katon-Karagay Nature Park, you must obtain a permit in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, and you must also attach a route sheet indicating the points of stay and a detailed description of the route. This territory is adjacent to the border with Russia, so to stay here and travel, you need documents for being in the border zone. Currently, crossing from Kazakhstan to Russia along mountain trails is impossible, since there is no checkpoint there.
