Tulip Lemmers (Tulipa Lemmersii) - the most beautiful yellow tulip, endemic grows only on the territory of Kazakhstan. The flower was discovered most recently in 2005 by botanist Viv Lemmers, the flower is named after its discoverer. The tulip is considered the rarest tulip in Kazakhstan.

Tulip Lemmers can only be seen in the Mashat canyon in the Zhambyl region, the Aksu-Zhabagly reserve and natural park, the Karatau mountains. Blooms in late March and early April.

Information, description -

Tulip Lemmers low erect tulip. Bulb 2 - 2.5 cm in diameter; scales thin, brown, slightly pubescent at the base and at the apex. Stem glabrous, single-flowered, aerial part 7 cm, excluding flower 3.5 cm long. Leaves including 3, glabrous and devoid of cilia, lower leaf 15 × 3 cm, upper leaf 15 × 1.5 cm. Inner tepals 3, 5 × 2 cm, obovate, external - ovate, flowers yellow with a reddish tinge on the outside. Filaments yellow, glabrous, 8 - 9 × 1.5 mm, anthers 6 mm, black with light brown pollen. Ovary 1 cm high, green, with a sessile yellow stigma. In Kazakhstan, it grows only in the vicinity of the Mashat canyon in the South Kazakhstan region.
