The monument to the rock band The Beatles on Kok-Tobe Mountain is one of the most unusual and popular attractions in Almaty, dedicated to the legendary British rock band. It was solemnly opened in 2007 and became the first sculptural image of all four members of the ensemble in the entire post-Soviet space. The initiator of its creation was the famous Kazakhstani businessman and philanthropist Vladimir Kim. Visitors to Kok-Tobe love to take pictures next to the bronze musicians: you can sit next to Lennon, as if in the company of friends, or feel like part of the legendary group. The monument quickly became one of the most photographed and popular spots in Almaty. In the Kok-Tobe Park where the monument is installed, there are also many other attractions. The mountain offers a beautiful mountain panorama of the Almaty Mountains and the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains. The world's tallest Koktobe TV tower, is also located here.

The idea of installing a monument to the rock group The Beatles belonged to Almaty fans of the Beatles, for whom their music became a symbol of freedom, friendship and cultural renewal in the 1960s and 1970s. The opening was accompanied by concerts, performances by cover bands and became a bright event for the city. The sculptural composition is made of bronze and represents the famous " The Liverpool Four": John Lennon, sitting with a guitar on a bench, and standing next to him are Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The author of the monument was the famous Kazakhstani sculptor Edward Kazaryan. Interestingly, this was the first monument in the world dedicated to The Beatles in full, where they are depicted together.

Every year, informal events are held at the monument on John Lennon's birthday (October 9) and other memorable dates associated with the group. Fans perform Beatles songs, lay flowers and share memories. This monument is a tribute not only to the great band, but also to an entire era, and proof that music can unite people and even entire generations. It fits organically into the cultural landscape of Almaty, adding a modern note to the historical space of Mount Kok-Tobe.

Today, the Beatles monument not only decorates the top of Kok-Tobe, but is also a place of attraction for tourists, musicians and romantics. Impromptu concerts are held here, young people perform Beatles songs, and the atmosphere of the mountain is filled with motifs that changed the musical history of the whole world.
