The Mausoleum of Kabanbay Batyr is an architectural monument, a sacred sacred place and a place of pilgrimage in the Akmola region. Karakerey Kabanbay batyr-commander of the Kazakh heroes, one of the famous heroes who organized resistance to the Dzungar invasion in the 18th century. His name is known in the history of the Kazakh people along with the names of Ablai Khan and Bogenbay Batyr. Erasyl Kabanbay was born in 1691 on the banks of the Syr Darya River and died in 1769 at the age of 78. The commander Kabanbay Batyr was a respected hero. Hero Kabanbay is a symbol of the unity of the Kazakh people in the face of danger. Kabanbai batyr took part in such battles as the Battle of Ayagoz in 1723, defended the city of Turkestan in 1726, and the Battle of Bulanty in 1730. The Kazakh army, led by Kabanbai, for the first time took part in clearing the Ili, Balkhash, and Karatal regions of the enemy. After that, he liberated Karakol and Naryn, Urzhar and Katynsu, Alakol and joined the army of Bogembay Batyr, then together they liberated the regions of Zaisan, Markakol and Kurchum.
