Traveling from Almaty to Aktobe

The Syr Ana Monument is a monument located on the banks of the Syrdarya River, revealing the historical features of the Kyzylorda region. The height of the Syr-Ana monument is 39 meters. As the monument's shape rises, it envelops the mast and creates a beautiful image. The upper part is made according to the “Saukele” type, which emphasizes the image of a Kazakh woman. The head of the tower in the image of Saukele ends with a detail in the form of laid out rice. The Kyzylorda region supplies the Kazakh country with rice. Therefore, rice is a symbol of the Kyzylorda region. The wind-twisted skirt of the monument depicts the curly waves of the Syr Darya. The Syrdarya River plays an important role in the region's agriculture. During the war, the Kazakhs took refuge along the Syrdarya River. In addition, the Silk Road passed along the Syrdarya and historical cities are located along it, so this monument symbolizes this area. Newlyweds come to the Syr-Ana monument and make a wish here; the complex has become a place where residents of Kyzylorda and guests of the city come.
