The Kokshetau upland, also known as Mount Burabai and Lake Bolshoe Chebachye, are well visible from the mountain. In the distance you will see Lake Shchuchye. The name "Bolektau" can be translated as "Lonely Mountain" or "Lonely Mountain". The mountain is made of ancient granite, polished by time and wind. The slopes are covered with moss, sparse grass and shrubs. In places, the outlines of animals, figures and footprints seemed to be imprinted on the rocks, as if nature itself had carved its symbols here. The landscape around the mountain is enchanting: on one side stretches the mirror of Lake Bolshoe Chebachye, on the other the smooth surface of Lake Borovoe glitters, and in the distance, you can see the blue silhouettes of other hills, forests and rocks. Climbing the mountain is easy and suitable even for beginners. The path leads through the forest, then turns into a rocky slope, where a little dexterity is required. A reward awaits you at the top – a panoramic view of the entire Borovoye region. People often freeze here to soak up this picture for a longer time: lakes like living mirrors, forests like green waves, and the sky stretching into infinity. Many tourists come here at dawn or dusk – during these hours Bolektau is especially magical. The rays of the sun passing through the pines and reflecting in the water create an atmosphere as if you were in a fairy tale.
