Among the picturesque expanses of Borovoye, where pine forests intertwine with the reflections of lakes, and the stones preserve the breath of centuries, stands Mount Bolektau. This mountain is not just a geographical point on the map. This is a guardian and a witness. Bolektau has been standing here for centuries, watching the world change – silently, majestically and profoundly. The mountain is located at an altitude of 410 meters above sea level and serves as a natural observation deck, which offers a beautiful panorama of the Burabai National Park and its natural attractions. Lake Borovoe and its blue bay are clearly visible from the mountain, and the rocky island of Zhumbaktas and the Okzhetpes rock mountain are visible. The Kokshetau upland, also known as Mount Burabai and Lake Bolshoe Chebachye, are well visible from the mountain. In the distance you will see Lake Shchuchye. Information -

The name "Bolektau" can be translated as "Lonely Mountain" or "Lonely Mountain". The mountain is made of ancient granite, polished by time and wind. The slopes are covered with moss, sparse grass and shrubs. In places, the outlines of animals, figures and footprints seemed to be imprinted on the rocks, as if nature itself had carved its symbols here. The landscape around the mountain is enchanting: on one side stretches the mirror of Lake Bolshoe Chebachye, on the other the smooth surface of Lake Borovoe glitters, and in the distance, you can see the blue silhouettes of other hills, forests and rocks. Climbing the mountain is easy and suitable even for beginners. The path leads through the forest, then turns into a rocky slope, where a little dexterity is required. A reward awaits you at the top – a panoramic view of the entire Borovoye region. People often freeze here to soak up this picture for a longer time: lakes like living mirrors, forests like green waves, and the sky stretching into infinity. Many tourists come here at dawn or dusk – during these hours Bolektau is especially magical. The rays of the sun passing through the pines and reflecting in the water create an atmosphere as if you were in a fairy tale.

Legend -

The old people say that Bolektau is a warrior frozen in eternity. He rose above the ground to guard his native lands, and turned into a mountain when the enemies retreated. His heart is still beating deep in the rock, and his gaze is directed towards the valley to be alert. It is believed that if you climb to the top with pure thoughts and a wish, the mountain will hear you. Just do not rush – you need to walk the path with respect, with a sense of gratitude to the earth and its spirits.
Mount Bolektau is a place of power. There is no hustle and bustle of the city, no noisy crowds. Just the wind, the pines, the rocks, and the sky. It's easy to think about the main thing here, let go of the superfluous, and hear yourself. The mountain doesn't speak – it's just nearby. He stands quietly, like a wise friend. And in that silence you find the answers.
