From the city of Issyk, an asphalt road leads up the gorge to Lake Issyk. There is beautiful nature in the gorge, from the foothills and hilly terrain you gradually climb into the mountains, fir trees begin to grow here, which are the hallmark of the entire Trans-Ili Alatau.
There is also a picturesque mountain river running through the gorge, which is also called the Issyk River. There are mountain routes and trails up the Issyk Gorge, but we recommend that you travel along them in the presence of a mountain guide, a guide and with all the necessary equipment for being in the mountains in the field.
