Taikazan-a sacred giant Cauldron with a six-hundred-year history is located in the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi in the city of Turkestan in the Turkestan region. This Kazan was ordered by the famous commander Amir Timur on June 25, 1399 (Hijrah 801, 20-shawal) in the village of Karnak, located 27 kilometers west of the city of Turkestan. Created by the Iranian master Abdil Aziz Sharafaddin Tabrizi.

History

The first of the three rows of inscriptions on the Taikazan mentions that it was created for the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. In 1935, Taykazan was taken to the famous Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, to the III International Conference of Iranian Masters. Taykazan was there for more than half a century and was returned to Turkestan only on September 18, 1989.

Description

Taikazan is cast from a mixture of seven rare metals (zinc, Latin, bronze, lead, copper, silver, iron). The weight of the boiler is 2 tons, the capacity is 3 thousand liters, the height is 1.60 meters, the diameter is 2.42 meters. The height of the pedestal is 0.54 meters, the diameter is 0.607 m. The drawing of the outer part of the Taikazan consists of five parts. In the first upper part, an excerpt from the Holy Quran with the signature of Sulus is written around Kazan, which continues with the hadith of the Prophet, followed by the year when Kazan was created for him. The second row is divided by ten large cubbies and twenty cartouches with ten patterned handles. In the third row, the reminder of God is repeated 22 times on the model of Kufi's letter. In the side part of the boiler of the fourth row, ten carved figures in the form of a large leaf, resembling patterns on the handles, and twenty small cubes are embossed. On the fifth part, arc-shaped patterns are depicted.
