Excursion to the National Museum of Nur Sultan city (Astana)
National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, located at 54 Tauelsizdik Street, the capital city of Nur-Sultan. The museum in the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, was opened on July 2, 2014 after six years of construction by the then President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. The museum building covers an area of about 74,000 square meters and is divided into seven blocks with a total of 14 halls. It covers the history and culture of Kazakhstan from ancient times to the present day. Special mention should be made of the Hall of Independent Kazakhstan (the Hall of Independence of Kazakhstan) and the Hall of Astana, dedicated to the history of Astana, the former Nur-Sultan. The lobby is adorned with an impressive gilded eagle that hovers alongside a large map of the country. Many Bronze Age jewelry is exhibited in the Golden Hall. The Ethnography Hall contains exhibits dedicated to the nomadic culture of Kazakhstan, etc.

During the excursion to the National Museum of History of Kazakhstan, we will visit various archaeological, ethnographic, as well as historical and cultural monuments of Kazakhstan. After that, we will go to the exposition of ancient and medieval history, as well as modern history. The idea of creating a new national museum in the capital of Kazakhstan was voiced by the head of state on March 17, 1998 at an expanded meeting of the state commission for the year of national unity and national history. In accordance with the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan dated June 13, 2008, the Astana Akimat and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan launched practical steps to create an international museum.
New National Museum of History has no analogues in Central Asia. The museum is located on an area of more than 74,000 square meters. Here are collected archaeological, ethnographic, historical and cultural monuments of Kazakhstan - from the beginning of ancient history to the present day. The museum of history of Kazakhstan comprises Astana, Independent Kazakhstan, gold, ancient and medieval history, ethnography, and modern art halls.
The museum building consists of 7 blocks (from 2 to 8 floors) with a total area of 74,000 square meters. Of these, more than 14,000 square meters occupy exhibition space, 5,000 square meters - the depository. The museum building houses expositions of ancient and medieval history, modern history, gold, ethnography, Independent Kazakhstan, Astana, and modern art.
The museum also has facilities for temporary exhibitions, restoration workshops, laboratories, libraries with a reading room, and conference rooms. The new national history museum is the largest in Central Asia. In the halls of the museum are collected archaeological, ethnographic, historical and cultural monuments of Kazakhstan - from the beginning of ancient history to the present day.
The museum is equipped with modern equipment to meet high requirements and international standards. Modern exhibition technologies are used to illuminate the expositions: a unique curved screen, a media floor, a dynamic layout of the central part of modern Astana, numerous media screens, holograms, LED LED equipment, touch-screen kiosks, a multimedia guide.
In the building of the museum, in the future, it is planned to simultaneously place the exposition of several museums, including the Museum of History, the Museum of Gold and Precious Metals, and the Museum of Art.
