The Kulzhabasy mountains in the Zhambyl region are famous for their petroglyphs (ancient rock carvings), tourists come here to look at the images and local nature. The petroglyphs were first explored here in 2001, as they were late noticed and discovered. The images, as scientists have established here, are very ancient, referring to about the XII century BC. Kuldzhabasy in translation from the Kazakh language means "crest of a ridge", the place got this name because of the mountains that are located here. We invite you to visit the petroglyphs of Kulzhabasy within one day, leaving the city of Almaty.
