The memorial "Otan Korgaushylar", the monument "Otan-Ana" (Motherland) - were erected on May 9, 2001 on the city square. The monumental composition of the memorial complex consists of a bronze stele in the form of an ear, symbolizing the unity of all peoples living in Kazakhstan, and an image of the Motherland, calling for unity, friendship and harmony.

Memorial "Motherland"
The Defenders of the Fatherland memorial symbolizes the continuation of yesterday's and today's, tomorrow's generations. The core of the Defenders of the Fatherland memorial is the image of the Mother, a giant monument 37.5 meters high and weighing 63 tons. A mother woman pours white light filled with national traditions into her gilded bowl and gives it in double support to everyone who comes. Also, in the image of a mother who anxiously waits for her husband, sons and daughters going to war, national identity is traced-the peace inherent in the entire Kazakh woman. At the top of the bronze column (the trunk of the monument) there is an object consisting of 121 Golden ears - a symbol of deep-rooted unity and strong friendship of multinational Kazakhstanis. The base of the Spikelets is decorated with ornaments symbolizing the spiritual and cultural heritage of each nation on the Kazakh land. It is also a new sprout-a symbol of life, peace, abundance and stability. On one of the sides of the bronze column, about forty meters long, khas batyrs are depicted, who defended our vast expanse left by our ancestors from various invaders, and on the other -the Kazakh military, who showed heroism during the Great Patriotic War. This is a unique monument to the soldiers who died for the freedom of their country at the front during the brutal war, and to the war veterans performing among us.
Otan Korgaushylar Memorial
The memorial "Otan korgaushylar" was opened as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in honor of the 56th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev took part in the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day - a solemn procession dedicated to the Great Victory Day on May 7-9, 2001, and in his speech reviewed the history of the country, noting that the years that our people have experienced have always been heroic. Special attention was paid to the fact that this holiday is sacred for all Kazakhstanis, it is a Victory day that brought the enemy to his knees, a Day of National Remembrance, a day of worship to the immortal feat of the older generation. Therefore, this memorial should become a grandiose monument so that our descendants respect our peaceful life and do not remember the consequences of a bloody war. We are proud of our ancestors and fathers. We are proud of our exceptional mothers who carry all the weight on their shoulders. Without them, there would be no victory. This is a particularly noticeable part of the monument-the image of a mother woman. This monument not only embodies the feat in the Great Patriotic War, but also characterizes the heroism and courage of the Kazakh people.
