The mausoleum of Yesim Khan is an architectural monument preserved in the city of Turkestan since the XVII century. It is located 12 m south of the western tower of the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. Only ruins remained of the mausoleum at the time of discovery, over time restorers restored the object, part of the roof on the object could not be restored. The research carried out here by local scientists dated the object to the XVII century, the mausoleum is made of baked brick of a square shape (9x9 m). The main facade has the shape of a portal, the floor is lined with square baked bricks.

Yesim Khan

Yesim Khan is a major political figure of the Kazakh Middle Ages. A man who left an indelible name in the memory of the Kazakh people, which became a symbol of a courageous spirit. Yesim Khan ruled in our history for about 30 years (1598-1628). Date of birth unknown, died in 1628.
