Arystan Bab Mausoleum is an architectural monument of Ancient Otrar. Arystan bab ata, was the teacher of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the propagator of the Muslim religion among the Turkestan people. The mausoleum consists of separate rooms. The mausoleum of Arystan Bab was rebuilt at the beginning of the 20th century at the expense of the local population from burnt bricks with an area of 35x12 m, 12 m high, the building faces Mecca. The sign of the corridor-gate on a marble plaque indicates the year 1327, the time of the last construction.

The mausoleum of Arystan Bab is a structure that has undergone various types of processing and repair over the centuries. The first construction of the mausoleum dates back to the XIV-XV century. In the XVIII century, the building was demolished and, according to Frisian records, rebuilt in 1909. In 1971, the mausoleum was rebuilt again due to the high water table. The building was built of baked bricks on alabaster mortar. Currently, this mausoleum is considered one of the Muslim sanctuaries of Central Asia, where pilgrimage is mandatory. According to legend, Arystan Bab was an ambassador of the Prophet Muhammad.
