Excursion from Zhidebai to Kengirbai Mausoleum -
The mausoleum of Kengirbai bi is a place of pilgrimage in East Kazakhstan, a monument. Kengirbai-bi was the ancestor of Abai Kunanbayev, the great poet of Kazakhstan, was born in 1735, died in 1808. He was a strong warrior, fought together with Abylai Khan, liberated the lands of present-day Kazakhstan from invaders. At an advanced age, Kengirbai bi gives power to his faithful disciple, younger brother Uskenbai (1778-1850). At that time, the great-grandfather of the great Abai Uskenbai was a foreman at the age of 27-28 years. Kengirbai bi died in the autumn of 1808 at the age of 87.
