A walk in the mountains of the Bayankol gorge -

Chinese Mountain Pass-located at an altitude of 4001 meters above sea level. The pass serves as the beginning of the ascent of the Sarydzha mountain range and the Meridional mountain range. The pass is located in the intermountain saddle between the elevation of 4451 meters above sea level in the northwest at 1.3 kilometers and the summit of Uzlovaya with a height of 4910 meters above sea level in the southeast at 3.2 kilometers.

The Chinese mountain pass is located in the Bayankol gorge, in the northern part of the Meridional Ridge in the Raimbek district of Almaty region. GPS coordinates: N42°20'06" E80°15'07"

Information -

The state border between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of China passes through the Chinese Pass from the southeast to the northwest. The eastern slopes of the pass are located in the Republic of China. The western slopes of the pass are talus and descend for 300 meters to the moraine of the Bayankol Vostochny glacier at an altitude of 3886 meters above sea level and are located on the territory of Kazakhstan.
