Besh-Kol is a moraine alpine lake, located at an altitude of 3450 meters above sea level. The lake is located next to Lake Besh-Kol 1 (the first), all lakes are located next to each other in a common mountain valley, the area of the valley is 8.62 square kilometers and the perimeter is 12.63 kilometers. In this valley there are 5 large and 10 small lakes, from which the western sources of the Karasai River originate.

Besh-Kol Lake is located in the mountains of the Dzungarian Alatau, the upper reaches of the Karasai River, Almaty region, Eskeldinsky district, Kazakhstan.

Information -

The Besh-Kol Lake is located in the north-western part of the valley. The area of the lake is 85405 square meters, the perimeter of the lake is 1131 meters. The length of the lake from south to north is 350 meters, the greatest width in the central part of the lake is 320 meters.
850 meters northwest of Besh-Kol, in the crest of the Dzungarian Alatau ridge, there is the Demekpe pass with a height of 3742 meters above sea level. 1.3 kilometers to the northeast in the hollow of the glacier is the moraine lake Besh-Kol 1 located at an altitude of 3457 meters above sea level. 1.4 kilometers to the southeast is the moraine lake Nizhny Karasai at an altitude of 3333 meters above sea level. A river flows from the southeastern part of the lake, which after 150 meters flows into the lower Besh-Kol lake, located at an altitude of 3448 meters above sea level.
