Aksu Ontustik is a high-altitude moraine lake, located at an altitude of 3307 meters above sea level, is a natural attraction of the Dzungarian Alatau. It is possible to organize a mountain hike to the lake for several days. The lake is located in a closed mountain valley with an open northern part. 460 meters northwest of Aksu Ontustik Lake is Aksu Soltustik Lake, located at an altitude of 3218 meters above sea level just downstream of the river. Both lakes are incredibly beautiful and easily accessible for lovers of mountain hiking, the route to the lakes is not difficult.

Information -

The area of Aksu Ontustik Lake is 41024 square meters, the perimeter is 808 meters. The length of the lake from south to north is 335 meters, the largest width in the central part is 190 meters. The lake is located on a moraine in the closed part of the glacier. The lake is filled from the sources from the Aksu Basty glacier with a length of 1.7 kilometers. The area of the glacier is 1.24 square kilometers, the perimeter is 4.8 kilometers. The upper boundary of the Aksu Batys glacier is located at an altitude of 3794 meters above sea level. The main part of the glacier is located at an altitude of 3307 meters above sea level. A river flows from the northeastern part of the lake, which flows into Aksai Soltustik Lake after 460 meters. 1.2 kilometers to the east and slightly north of the lake in the crest of the Dzungarian Alatau ridge is the Demekpe pass with a height of 3742 meters above sea level.
