Mulkalan is a mausoleum of the XVI century, an architectural monument, a sacred sacred place, a place of pilgrimage in the Kyzylorda region. A very beautiful mausoleum, built of red brick, the architect of the structure is not known, it is a portal-domed structure with a height of 6 meters. Initially, the mausoleum was decorated with plaster, which was lost over time. In 1982, the Mulkalan mausoleum was included in the list of historical and cultural monuments of the Kazakh SSR of republican significance and taken under state protection.

Information -

Mulkalan was the name of the man in whose honor this mausoleum was built. Mulkalan was a healer, preached Islam, and was a respected and revered man. One legend says that in ancient times a certain man fell off his horse and died when they began to bury him, the healer Mulkalan came stroked the man on the head (performed resuscitation procedures) and the man came to life, it turns out the man did not die, but was in a deep unconscious state, fainting. Another legend says that there was an incredible drought on earth one summer and people needed water, Mulkalan said a prayer and it rained on earth, many people and animals were saved.

The Mulkalan mausoleum is located in the center of the ancient necropolis, it is a square rear 9.23×9.23 meters, 6 meters high, with a portal entrance, a dome is located on the building. Restoration was carried out at the mausoleum in 2007, the structure of the building was strengthened, finishing works were also carried out, the territory around the mausoleum was improved. The monument is of great importance because it characterizes the largely lost late medieval architecture of Kazakhstan.
