Sypatai Batar is a mausoleum, a sacred sacred place, a place of pilgrimage, in the Zhambyl region. Sapytai Batyr was a warrior, commander-in-chief, a witty eloquent man, in the first half of the XIX century he took an active part in the struggle against the Kokand Khanate, commanded troops. With his army, Sapytai joined Kenesary Khan in the fight against the Kokand yoke, of the 85 years lived by Sypatai Batyr, 60 went to fight for the liberation of his native land from foreign invaders. He became famous in the fight against the Kokand invaders and had great authority due to his qualities: courage, oratorical skills, justice, wisdom." Sypatai Batyr did a lot for science: in 1857 he participated in the expedition of G. Tasfort and Ch.Valikhanov in Semirechye. He ferried the expedition members across the Ili River and gave them information about the history, traditions and customs of the local population.
