Gauhar Ana is a mausoleum of the XII century, a sacred sacred place, a place of pilgrimage in the Turkestan region. The mausoleum is a small and beautiful building built of red brick. Legend has it that Gauhar Ana was the daughter of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, her name was Gauhar, the woman was a healer, could heal young children and adults. The mausoleum was completely renovated in 2015, modern materials were used during the reconstruction.

Gauhar Ana Mausoleum is located 4 kilometers from the city of Turkestan, 6 kilometers from the city of Shoitobe, the Azret Sultan Nature Reserve Museum, Turkestan region, Republic of Kazakhstan. GPS coordinates: 43°15'45"N 68°17'09"E

Information -

Gauhar Ana is the daughter of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi according to historical data. The burial of Gauhar Ana is one of the valuable monuments of historical architecture. The place where the mausoleum is located is a hill with a height of 174 meters above sea level. Since 1989, the mausoleum has been included in the state Historical and Cultural Museum-reserve "Azret Sultan" and is under state protection. In May 2011, employees of the Archeology department of the Azret Sultan Museum-Reserve conducted a number of excavations at the burial site. There is no information about when Gauhar died, however, given that Ahmet Yassawi was born in 1101-1103 and married at the age of twenty, it has been suggested that Gauhar was born around 1122-1124.
