Kyrgyn is an ancient necropolis of the XVIII century, an architectural monument, a sacred place and a place of pilgrimage in the Mangystau region. The necropolis is a complex of ancient monuments, mausoleums and tombs, which are considered sacred by the Kazakh people. The area of the Kyrgyz necropolis is 8 hectares, there are domed mausoleums, saganatams, koytas, ushtas. The Kyrgyz necropolis was first explored in 1982, in the same year the necropolis was included in the list of historical and cultural monuments of Kazakhstan. The word Kyrgyz is translated from Kazakh as "massacre", this name was given to the necropolis for a reason. In this place, in ancient times, local residents of the area were killed and were buried in this necropolis.

How to get there, visit -

The Kyrgyn necropolis is located 14 kilometers from the village of Shetpe, 5 kilometers from the village of Stary Zhetybai, 25 kilometers from the village of Turysh, Karakiyansky district, Mangystau region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
