The Pokrovsky Cathedral in Ust-Kamenogorsk was built in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, consecrated on November 2, 2010. It is a wooden structure with one bell tower and one golden dome. The building is very beautiful, there are not many such wooden churches left, the interior is also very impressive and looks impeccable. The temple is located on the riverbank in a very picturesque place.

There is a special ancient Orthodox cross in the Pokrovsky Cathedral, it was made during the reign of Catherine II in 1790 in the city of St. Petersburg and belonged to a noble hierarch. In 1954, on May 5, the cross-reliquary was transferred to the Intercession Church. Since then, this shrine has been located in the Intercession Church. The cross-relic will be worn to the center of the temple on memorable days of worship of the Honest Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, as well as on holidays of veneration of the saints of God, the healing particles of whose relics are embedded and stored in the cross.
