Information -

The building of the Church of the Mother of God of the Nativity was built in the thirties by Japanese prisoners of war. During Soviet times, it was operated as a cultural center. During the years of perestroika, the building housed a store, then a sauna. Subsequently, the building was not used, and in 1996 it was transferred free of charge to the Orthodox Church. On September 12, 1996, the Nativity of the Virgin Mary parish was formed in the building. Since the transfer of the building to the jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church and the beginning of regular services in it, much has been done to give it the beautiful appearance of an Orthodox church that now exists. Repair and restoration work was carried out inside and outside, the temple area was fenced and landscaped, old wooden window frames were replaced with modern plastic window blocks, and much more was done to beautify the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God. On October 24, 2009, an icon-painting workshop was established at the temple. The icons created in it, such as: the icon of the Holy Blessed Elder Matrona of Moscow, the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, the Holy Venerable Elder Sebastian of Karaganda, the Holy Venerable Sergius of Radonezh, the Holy Venerable Euphrosyne of Polotsk, St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra of Lycia, the Wonderworker and others, now adorn walls of the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God. In the courtyard of the temple there is a sculpture of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, two meters high.
