The House of Friendship in Pavlodar was opened in 2008 with the participation of the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. The building is a modern 4-storey building, which houses various kinds of institutions such as: the Council of Mothers, the Council of Elders, the secretariat of the regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, a conference hall and an assembly hall, rehearsal and choreographic halls, multimedia, computer and educational halls, a media coverage department, a library of national literature and the museum. On December 10, 2010, the grand opening of the concert hall for 300 people took place, the hall is equipped with modern sound and lighting equipment. Since March 2013, Dostyk House has had a media coverage department, one of the main tasks of which is to provide the public with comprehensive information about the activities of the institution. As a result of the department's work, we were able to regularly cover all events of the Friendship House in the media.

The Friendship House has a department for work with ethnocultural associations and a department of folk art. The specialists of the department actively participate in important public events and conduct practical work to strengthen interethnic and interfaith harmony. The Department for Work with Ethno-cultural associations organizes and conducts events of various forms and thematic areas. Provides methodological, screenwriting and directing assistance in organizing and conducting city, regional, national and international events.
The main tasks of the department of folk art: the organization of work to create the necessary conditions for the full–fledged work of collectives is the organization of concerts, creative meetings, national holidays. Specialists of the department regularly provide methodological and practical assistance to creative teams and club associations of the House of Friendship.
The museum serves to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the ethnic groups of the region in the House of Friendship. The museum's fund is constantly replenished by representatives of ethnocultural associations located in Dostyk Uy. The attributes of national clothes, folk life and folk art are presented here. The National Book Library is located next to the museum. The library has books, newspapers and magazines in the languages of regional ethnic groups. The main purpose of the library is to provide information support for cultural and linguistic diversity, the formation of ethnic identity and interethnic tolerance in a multinational region. Thematic exhibitions and excursions are always held in the museum and library. Anyone can visit the museum and library of the House of Friendship.
