Information –
The Ulken Zhybyksy complex was founded in 1830-1840 and served (in the sense of religious activities) as a permanent settlement. The monument also has the name "Nurzhan-ishan". The builder of the mosque dates back to the second half of the 19th century. Among the residents of the Baiganinsky district and the surrounding area, the complex is considered the most important historical monument of the region. The objects of the complex clearly demonstrate the traditional features characteristic of the memorial and religious architecture of Doneztau. It has the status of an architectural and urban planning monument of local significance. The complex is a settlement consisting of a mosque and a large necropolis, well anchored on the terraces and steep slopes of a large ravine. The first part of the monuments is scattered in small groups across areas on the right (western) slope of the ravine. Just above it lies a wide belt of lumpy stones, on which traces of the building blocks were preserved. On the opposite (western) slope of the ravine there was a large necropolis.
