The Shaken Ishan Mosque is an architectural monument, a sacred sacred place and a place of pilgrimage in the Aktobe region. At the moment, the mosque is a dilapidated building that was built at the beginning of the XX century. The mosque was built according to the project of Kazan craftsmen in 1902, the walls are thick, the windows are also high and large to allow more abundant sunlight into the building. One of the features is that in such mosques there is a tradition to build a pointed tower without installing a dome on the roof. Restoration work is currently underway at the Shaken Ishan Mosque, which is among the legacies of the republic.

The Shaken Ishan Mosque is located 27 kilometers from the village of Marzhanbulak, Alginsky district, Aktobe region, Republic of Kazakhstan.

Shaken Ishan's full name is Shaimerden Abzhanovich, he was a respected man, an imam, appealed to the people with a call to morality, taught children, wrote letters, was a mentor, adviser to the people. He studied religious education for 7 years in the city of Khorezm, on the territory of present-day Uzbekistan. In 1929, Shaken was sent into exile and to prison. A few years later, he returned safely to the country. In the year when Shaken Ishan was sent into exile, his mosque was used as a granary and then as a place to keep people who fled the army during the war. After the construction of the mosque, children from the surrounding villages, as well as children from other regions, studied here. Shaken ishan died at the age of 82 and was buried in the necropolis, next to his loved ones.
