Aktobe City Tour –
The memorial complex to the Hero of the Soviet Union, Alia Moldagulova, was built and installed in Aktobe in 2005. The memorial was erected to perpetuate the memory of Aliya, a warrior, a sniper who destroyed many enemies of our land during the Great Patriotic War. Aliya was born on June 15, 1925, and actively participated in the war of the Soviet Union with Nazi Germany. On June 4, 1944, Aliya was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, and she was also awarded the Order of Lenin. Aliya died in battle, and in January 1944, in a battle near the town of Novosokolnikov, Tver region (Kalininskaya), she was mortally wounded. During her service in combat, she destroyed over 80 enemy soldiers and officers. The monument consists of a sculpture of Aliya, depicted in full height, in military uniform, without a headdress, mounted on a square pedestal.
