The monument to Akhmet Zhubanov is part of a complex of monuments; next to his monuments there is a monument-bust of his daughter Gaziza Zhubanova, both monuments are located in the city of Aktobe. The monument to Akhmet is a sculpture of the composer sitting with his back to the piano and looking to the left, in his hands the composer holds a conductor's baton. The entire monument is made of red granite, the statue itself is made of bronze. The total height of the monument is 5 meters, the height of the poet’s figure is 2 meters. The bust of Gaziza Zhubanova is installed opposite the monument to composer Akhmet Zhubanov.

Information –

Akhmet Kuanovich Zhubanov (1906-1968) - an outstanding scientist-researcher of Kazakh music, a famous composer, conductor. People's Artist of Kazakhstan (1944), Doctor of Art History (1943), Professor (1948), Academician. He was born on April 29, 1906 in the Temir district of the Aktobe region, and until the end of his life he studied the history and theory of Kazakh music. In 1932 he entered graduate school at the Leningrad acting school. In 1933, he was invited to a teaching position at the Music and Drama School, which opened in the city of Almaty. In 1934, A.K. Zhubanov first organized the Kazakh National Folk Orchestra on the basis of an ensemble of dombra players consisting of 11 people. In 1945-1951, the rector of the Almaty Conservatory, in 1954-1961, the head of the department of folk instruments, which he opened at this conservatory, taught the history of Kazakh folk music, conducting and instrumentation. Akhmet Kuanovich is a person who has shown a new quality in the study, interpretation and systematic promotion of Kazakh musical culture. Akhmet is the owner of the most perfect education, having gone through all stages of musical education of his time, and also endowed with amazing abilities. He worked tirelessly to transform the generalized concept of Kazakh musical culture into a spiritual phenomenon that has real categorical meaning in the existence of the nation.

Gaziza Zhubanova (1927-1993) - composer, People's Artist of Kazakhstan and the USSR, laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR, professor. Daughter of the founder of Kazakh modern music A. Zhubanov. She graduated from the Moscow College of Music, the Moscow State Conservatory and its graduate school. Since 1958, she taught at the Almaty Conservatory (now the Kazakh National Conservatory); from 1975 to 1987, rector of this conservatory (since 1978 professor), from 1962 to 1968 - chairman of the board of the Union of Composers of Kazakhstan and secretary of the board of the Union of Composers of the USSR.
