The relief monument-obelisk to the Hero of the Soviet Union R. Kutuev – is installed in the city of Aktobe, and is an example of the construction of monumental art of the USSR. The monument is built of red and gray granite. The granite slabs of the outer side bear the names of soldiers and heroes who died during the Second World War: 1) R. I. Information

Rauf Ibrahimovich Kutuev - (05/06/1925 - 05/12/1944) participant of the Great Patriotic War, infantryman, Hero of the Soviet Union (1945). Rauf was born in 1925 in Samara province. In 1930, together with his parents, he moved to Aktobe, graduated from 7th grade and became an apprentice locksmith at the factory. In 1942, he was drafted into the army and took part in the liberation of Zaporozhye and the battles in the Izyum direction. In 1943, he, an 18-year-old officer who had completed short-term command training, was appointed to command a platoon. In December 1944, he took part in the capture of the Danube fortress, was seriously wounded and died during the battle. A street in Aktobe is named after the hero.
