The village of Bozoy is a small, remote, picturesque village located in the desert area of the Bozoy district, not far from the border with Uzbekistan and the Barsakelmes peninsula. Near the village there is compressor station No. 10 (KS-10) of the Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline, built in the early 1960s. Its capacity is up to 10 million cubic meters. There is a landing site for helicopters and light aircraft 1 km southwest of the village. In 1999, the population of the village was 2,530 people. The route of the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline, built in 2010-2015, passes through the village. The climate here is continental. The average temperature in January is -11 – -13 °C, in July +22 – +24 °C. The average annual precipitation is 350-400 mm, the main amount of which corresponds to the periods March-May and November-December. The wind rose is dominated by northeastern (34%) and northern (16%) winds. A stable snow layer forms in the last ten days of November and ends in the second ten days of March.
