In addition, the infrastructure includes 26 rehearsal halls equipped to the standards of the main stage, about 60 dressing rooms, and its own production workshops where artists, tailors, and sculptors create costumes and sets. A children's theater studio successfully operates at the theater, nurturing future opera and ballet stars.
World-class stars such as Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Anna Netrebko, and Valery Gergiev have performed on the Astana Opera stage. The theater's repertoire includes immortal productions by Verdi, Puccini, and Tchaikovsky, as well as gems of national culture, such as the operas «Birzhan and Sara» and «Abai».
