Goose flight is a monument related to paleontological science. It is located in the city of Pavlodar, on the right side of the river Irtysh. The most famous in the world as well as the largest monument and burial of animals from the Neogene period. The first excavations were carried out in 1930, the very disposal was discovered by Yu.A. Orlov in 1928. The place itself has been studied since 1929. Mass remains of fossils of nearly 60 species have been found here. The goose flight is the largest and most famous place in the whole of Central Asia, the place of the hipparion fauna, the estimated age of this object is about 4 - 4.5 million years. The place has been under state protection since 1971. The site is an 800-meter stretch on the slope of the Irtysh River, near the railway bridge. Due to the fact that the city is located very close to the object, there is a danger of its loss in the future. Different variants of preservation of this object for future generations as cultural heritage and the past of our planet are being worked out. The project of the open-air museum Goose Flight is also being developed.
