Tour from Baikonur to Tashkent
We invite you on a tour to the city of Baikonur (Kazakhstan) and then transfer to the city of Tashkent (Uzbekistan) from Russia. This tour is special, designed for travelers who move exactly along this route and in this direction.
The tour is also interesting because we will visit the city of Baikonur and watch the launch of the rocket, if there is no rocket launch, we will make an excursion to the city of Baikonur and visit the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The city of Baikonur is famous for the fact that on its territory there is a cosmodrome from where flights into space to the ISS (International Space Station) are regularly made.
Also, this tour can be combined, that is, add and remove days for the convenience of the traveler. This tour also includes visits to the Aral Sea region, the city of Turkestan, which is located in the Turkestan region. If desired, the tour can be continued further through the territory of Uzbekistan.

Tour itinerary:
Samara city – Mashtakovo checkpoint/Pogodaevo – Pogodaeva village – Uralsk city (260 km).
Upon arrival from Samara, go through customs and border formalities at the Mashtakovo and Pogodaevo checkpoints. We meet at the checkpoint and drive to the city of Uralsk, passing the village of Pogodaevo on the way. After 60 kilometers on a smooth road, we reach the city. We check into the hotel, have dinner and relax.
After breakfast, we will go on a city tour. First, we will visit two museum houses where Yemelyan Pugachev and Manshuk Mametova lived. After that, we will stop at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, which was built in 1981 in honor of the creation of the Ural Cossack Army three hundred years ago. Next, we will have a guided tour of the regional Museum of Local Lore. After the museum, we will visit the Ural Cathedral and before the atamans, at the end of our trip around the city, we will stop at the monument dedicated to V. I. Chapaev. After lunch at the restaurant, we will have another guided tour. We return to the hotel, have dinner and relax.
The city of Uralsk – the village of Algabas – the village of Zhimpity – the village of Kobda – the city of Aktobe (Aktyubinsk) (474 km).
After breakfast, we will drive to the city of Aktobe, passing along the way the villages of Algabas, Zhimpity, Kobda, where you can refuel. After driving 474 kilometers, we reach the city. We check into the hotel, have dinner and relax.
After we have breakfast, we will go on a city tour. First of all, we will visit the geological museum and the main city square. After that, we will visit two mosques, Nur Gasir and Nurdaulet. Then we will stop at St. Michael's Orthodox Church, after which we will go for a walk in the park named after Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, then we will visit the Alley of Heroes and the Eternal Flame WWII memorial.
Next, we will go to the Aliya Moldagulova memorial complex, completing our trip around the city with a walk along the boulevard named after Abai Kunanbayev, a Kazakh poet, composer, educator, and public figure. After lunch at the restaurant, we will have a guided tour of Aktobe. We return to the hotel, have dinner and relax.
Aktobe city – Khromtau city – Karabutak village – Irgiz locality – Aralsk city (620 km).
After breakfast, we will drive to the city of Aralsk, passing along the way the city of Khromtau and the village of Karabutak, where we can refuel. After driving 620 kilometers, we reach the city of Aralsk. We check into the hotel, have dinner and relax.
The city of Aralsk – the village of Aralkum – the village of Aiteke-Bi (Kazalinsk) – the city of Baikonur – the Korkyt Ata memorial – the village of Zhosaly – the village of Zhalagash – the village of Terenozek – the city of Kyzylorda (450 km).
After finishing breakfast, we will go on a short tour of Aralsk. We will visit the city museum, the museum dedicated to fishermen, as well as the museum of ships of the Aral Flotilla. Then we will visit several monuments, including the monument to Abulkhair Khan and the monument to Zhibek and Tolegen. After completing the tour, we leave for the city of Kyzylorda. Moving towards Kyzylorda, we will stop at villages along the way to refuel cars. When we get to the city, we check into a hotel, have dinner and relax.
Kyzylorda city – Shieli village – Zhanakorgan village – Sauran settlement – Turkestan city (280 km).
After breakfast, we will visit the Regional Museum of Local Lore, which was established in 1939. Then we will go to the Korkyt Ata memorial. He is a legendary Turkic songwriter and composer of the ninth century. After that, we will go to the main square called Tagzym, and then visit the monument dedicated to Gani Muratbayev, a famous public figure, founder of the Komsomol in the Kazakh SSR, which is located on the forecourt.
Next, we will go to the architectural monument of national significance – the Aitbaya mosque. After lunch at the Kyz Zhibek restaurant, we head to the Sauran settlement. Passing the villages of Shieli and Zhanakorgan along the way, after 235 kilometers we will reach the settlement of Sauran. We stroll through the ancient settlement, inspect the archaeological excavations of the ancient mosque and the fortress wall. After finishing our walk, we leave for the city of Turkestan. When we get to the city, we settle down, have dinner and relax.
Turkestan city – Shymkent city – Zhibek Zholy checkpoint (285 km).
After breakfast, we will go on an excursion to the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, which was built at the place of his burial. After the tour to the mausoleum, we will visit the gallery of stone statues, then according to the plan we will visit the archaeological museum, and immediately after that we will visit the historical museum "Azaret Sultan". After visiting the museums, we will go to the gate (Darwaza) (XIX c.), and after visiting the gate, we will stop at several mausoleums: the mausoleum of Yessimkhan (XVI c.), the mausoleum of Rabiya Sultan Begimov (XV c.), the mausoleum of Ahmed Yasawi (XII - XIV c.).
After completing the tour of the mausoleums, we will visit a couple of mosques: the Zhuma mosque (1878) and the Khilovat underground mosque (XII-XV centuries). At the end of the tour, we will visit the oriental baths (XV - XVI centuries). Then we will have lunch in a cafe. After finishing lunch, we leave for the city of Tashkent. Passing the city of Shymkent on the way, we move to the Zhibek-Zholy checkpoint. When we get to the checkpoint, we go through the customs and border formalities of the Kazakh and Uzbek states. Next, we are going to Tashkent.
What is necessary for transit passage (temporary importation) of a car through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. There are no special permits for vehicles to enter the Republic of Kazakhstan. All necessary documents for entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan are processed at the customs checkpoint of the border. When entering the Republic of Kazakhstan, a driver must have with him a driver's license, a technical passport, and a power of attorney for driving a vehicle.
The driver at the checkpoint needs to fill out:
1. Customs declaration. In the customs declaration, on the 2nd page, at the bottom, there is a column where the car data is entered (make, state number, engine number, body number, chassis number) (the customs declaration is issued free of charge).
2. The return obligation on the vehicle. A return obligation is a document in which you give an obligation to the customs authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan that you guarantee the export of a car from Kazakhstan within a specified period, without the right to sell or donate it on the territory of Kazakhstan. The return obligation is filled out in two copies, one remains with the customs service, the other remains with you, when leaving the Republic of Kazakhstan, you must leave the return obligation at the customs point of departure (the return obligation is issued free of charge and no duties are charged for the temporary importation of the car into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
3. Migration card (issued free of charge).
In the Republic of Kazakhstan, according to the insurance law, compulsory vehicle insurance is required. After passing through customs and border procedures at the border upon entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is necessary to arrange compulsory vehicle insurance at the insurance point. The cost of vehicle insurance depends on the year of manufacture, market value, and brand of the vehicle. The approximate cost of car insurance is from $25 to $50
The total distance from the Pogodaevo checkpoint (the Russian-Kazakh checkpoint between Samara (Russia) and Aktobe (Kazakhstan) and the Yallama checkpoint (the Uzbek-Kazakh checkpoint between Shymkent (Kazakhstan) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan) is 2,220 km (this distance is indicated only on the territory of Kazakhstan).
