Bektau-Ata - mountains are located south of Saryarka. The maximum height of the highest point of the Bektau-Ata mountains is 1213 meters above sea level, from this point a beautiful panorama of the surrounding mountain area opens up. It is especially beautiful here at sunrise and sunset. In the mountains of Bektau-Ata, 8 rare species of plants grow, listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan. The Bektau-Ata Mountains are located in the Aktogay district of the Karaganda region, 60 km north of the city of Balkhash, on a small hilly plain. The mountains stretch for 7 km from northeast to southwest, have a width of 3 km and an absolute height of 1213 m.

The slopes of Bektau-Ata are steep, shiny, and the upper part is rather flat and sharp in places. There are small deposits of piezo-optical minerals and natural caves. The largest of them is the Bektau-Ata cave. Also here you will meet a beautiful lake located in the rocks of the mountains. The mountains are composed of pink granites of the Carboniferous period. Very rare bushes and grasses grow on the slopes, aspen, willow and various shrubs are found in the tidal valleys. Deer and argali are found here.
