The Kigach is a river in the Volga Delta.
Geographical Location
It flows through the western part of the Kurmangazy District of the Atyrau Region. Its banks are lined with willows, reeds, and rushes. D. Nurpeisova, Zhylandy, Shortanbay, Zhanaaul, Kotyayevka, and other settlements live nearby.
Information
It is 100 km long. It is divided into several branches near the village of Shortanbay. The largest is the Sharon branch. The canal has water year-round, and its level is closely linked to the Volga.
