The Berkara Tulip is so known as the Kaufman Tulip was described by Regel E.L. The Berkara Tulip was studied for the first time in Uzbekistan, not far from the Cherchik River near Tashkent. The Berkara Tulip was named after Kaufman. At one time, Kaufman was general governor of the Turkestan region in Kazakhstan.
