Hiking and Trekking in Kaskelen Gorge, Almaty mountans
Almaty - Kargaly village - Kargalinka river - Kargaly gorges - moraine lakes - Mynzhilki river - Osypnaya pass - Right Aksai river - Shnitnikov glacier - Tur peak - Left Aksai river - Middle Aksai river - Aksai lakes - South Kazachka river - Pogranichnik pass - Kaskelen gorge - Almaty
The route passes through the little-visited Kaskelensky, Aksai and Kargalinsky gorges, located a few kilometers west of Almaty. The route runs in a westerly direction and runs parallel to the main ridge of the Zailiyskiy Alatau. The long and high-water basin of numerous tributaries of the Aksai River is traversed, the path passes in the immediate vicinity of the glaciers flowing down from the northern slopes of the ridge past the beautiful moraine lakes located at the end of the glaciers. Several snowy high peaks close the Aksai circus. One of them, more than 4000 meters high, can be climbed. Then the path runs along the Kaskelen gorge through wide plateaus and slopes overgrown with dense spruce forests. The last kilometers along the turbulent, high-water Kaskelen river lead to the highway leading to the city of Almaty.

Tour itinerary:
Transfer: Almaty apple city – Kargaly village – Kargalinka river (21 km).
Trekking up to Kargalinka river (8 km), lunch on the way, continent trekking to check point, camping at the forest place (H2500ft), dinner and overnight at the tents.
Breakfast at the camp.
Trekking: Up to alpine zone (6 km). Lunch on the way, continent trekking to check point, camping at the stone place (H3100ft), dinner and overnight at the tents.

Trekking: On the way Kargalinskiy pass (H3730ft), go up to the pass and going down to the moraine lakes in Manjilki place, lunch on the way, continue trekking to the Osipnoy pass (H3710ft), from the pass going down to the valley, dinner and overnight at the tents.

Trekking: by the way we will cross the Aksay river and valley, lunch on the way, continue trekking to the check point, dinner and overnight at the tents.

Radial trekking: Shpitnikova glacier and climbing to the Tur peak (H4205) (4 km), lunch on the way, back to the base camp, dinner and overnight at the tents.

Trekking: today we will cross Middle Aksay river, going up to Aksay lakes (H3250ft) (10 km), lunch on the way, walking to Second Aksay lake (2 km), dinner and overnight at the first lake.

Trekking: to the up side of South Kazachka river and Pagranichnik pass (H3600ft), lunch on the way, continue trekking, dinner and overnight at the tents.

Trekking: to the another lake (6 km), not far away from our base camp, lunch on the way, back to the base camp, dinner and overnight at the camp.

Trekking: to Kaskelen gorge (6 km), lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at the tents (H2850ft.)

Trekking: to the Kaskelen river, down side, finish point, lunch on the way, transfer to Almaty city (35 km). End of program.
