Trip from Aralsk to Butakova Bay on the Aral Sea -

The Kaltybay Mountains are located on the Ustyurt Plateau and are low steppe mountains near the Aral Sea.

How to get there and visit -

The mountains are located in the Kyzylorda region, on the shore of the Aral Sea. The distance from the seashore to the mountains is 2 kilometers. The main landmark here is Butakova Bay, on the Small Aral Sea. Mount Karasandyk, only 200 meters high, is also located here.

Tourist information

The Kaltybay Mountains are composed of clay and are surrounded by salt marshes and sand. The terrain is very interesting, consisting of hills and low hills with a desert-like appearance. There is not much vegetation here, so we recommend traveling to this region in early summer and late spring to see the diversity of flora in this region.
