Hunting with eagles is a traditional form of falconry found throughout the Eurasian steppe and practiced by Kazakhs and Kyrgyz living in both modern Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Kazakh people, leading a nomadic lifestyle, became more and more familiar with nature. Nomads saw nature as an integral part of their lives, and the more they learned about the secrets of nature, the more meaningful and interesting life became. Knowledge and experience in nature is widely used not only as a basis for existence, but also as a way to spend time meaningfully and fun. One of them is hunting with an eagle for different game.

From time immemorial, the Kazakh people, being close to nature, quickly distinguished the qualities of animals and birds. He paid particular attention to the accumulation of experience over the centuries, especially for the next generation.

Thanks to their knowledge and experience, Kazakh hunters were able to find and train animals for hunting, such as racehorses, eagles, sable greyhounds (dogs). Among them, the vast experience of training eagles over the centuries is both art and profound skill. According to historical data, the art of hunting with birds appeared three thousand years ago.
